The cabin’s closeness to the water and the night views were great, yet the stove had a broken element, the toaster was unreliable, and the flatware was subpar. It felt cheap and flat, so I brought my own. Even with the shades pulled, the sun hammered the cabin and it was uncomfortable. They should install bamboo shades on the porch so you can lower them to keep the sun out.

The view of the lake is beautiful and the beach is perfect for swimming and boating, but railroad tracks run right beside us and a light shone into our bedroom; the curtains didn’t block it, so it stayed bright all night. The room felt stark and cold, lacking warmth and enough sheets or blankets. The microwave barely worked and there was no hairdryer.

Everything was beautiful and very clean, but more handicap accommodations are needed; as a disabled person, reaching the lake was a challenge.
