“Did not make us feel at home at all.”
The central location was convenient, yet the host was extremely pushy, constantly asking for more cash after 10 and reminding us of the rules—“don’t touch the curtains,” “don’t make towels filthy,” “use 3 locks,” “no shoes inside,” etc. The room was cluttered with these printed directives, creating an uncomfortable vibe that made it hard to feel at home. I also disliked the host’s insistence on a 5‑star review, and the large framed painting of a burning oil depot with Islamic text felt out of place in the already outdated room.
“This is what you get in this price”
The location is great, the area isn’t too noisy, and the bathroom is very clean with clear rules, especially about door locking. The bed was extremely hard and smelled bad, which is a major issue for someone who spends nights in an apartment. The host replied that you can’t ask for more at this price. The kitchen was messy.
“Short & Sweet”
The place sits right near the old town streets and is central to all the events happening around Naples. Getting there was a bit of a shock, though, as the route was jarring. The listing promised a balcony with a panoramic view, but it’s unusable and the view is blocked by several obstructions.
“Ruhige Unterkunft mitten im Leben”
The host stayed in touch via WhatsApp for any issues, and the accommodation provided a quiet space. The windows looked new, and outside noise didn’t disturb sleep. The central location gave a great sense of the city, and the space was large, the bathroom excellent, Wi‑Fi strong, and air conditioning kept the room comfortable. The shared kitchen had a refrigerator. The stairs were a bit steep, but we were warned beforehand; otherwise it was fine. The only downside was the absence of a TV.
The apartment’s spot in Naples is hard to miss, thanks to clear directions and the host’s helpful messages. It felt like a quiet retreat amid the city’s usual buzz, and the kitchen and bathroom were immaculate, giving the place a cozy vibe. Thanks to Davide and Gino! The only downside is the third‑floor location, which could be tough for anyone with a lot of luggage or sore knees; I only had a small backpack, so it wasn’t an issue for me.
