Ocean M1 R4 - Large Double Room, City Center

The bed‑and‑breakfast sits on a side street near Avenida da Liberdade, with no exterior signage, only directions from the host; the entrance feels like a basement. The double room wasn’t clean, some fixtures were improperly installed, the chandelier was broken and could fall onto the bed, the room isn’t air‑conditioned and only has a fan, and the window faces a neglected inner courtyard full of trash. The room lock didn’t close properly, and the hallway floor leading to the bathroom was uneven with a carpet covering a fall risk. The kitchen and bathrooms were relatively clean but the appliances didn’t work.

“Tudo perfeito, vale cada centavo!!”

The room was well ventilated, the bed was comfortable and spacious, with outlets nearby and plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped, even though we didn’t cook there. The bathroom was superb, with a shower that had good pressure and warmed quickly. Overall, we found it perfect, especially because of the central location and the low price of 80 euros for two nights in a capital, which is rare nowadays. Nothing was wrong—everything was literally perfect.

“For tourists not expensive but still not worth it”

The room was the only thing that was acceptable, but the bed had bugs and everything smelled off. Inside, the chairs were filthy—white but almost black—and the lights were completely out.
