“Great location near EVE, but far too noisy and outdated.”

The hotel sits nicely on the road to Evenes Airport (EVE), offering a truly great scenic location. The breakfast room lets you see a beautiful sunrise over the water, and the interior has a charming, distinctive rustic décor that mixes traditional western and maritime/fisherman styles. Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing in terms of rest and room quality. The rooms are dated, poorly maintained, and soundproofing is terrible. Even though we had specifically requested a quiet room, getting inside was an ordeal: the door lock to our room was faulty and needed a waiter’s help, making us feel like locksmiths trying to wiggle the key into the exact right position to get into our own room. The noise problems made a restful night impossible. A loud party was happening at the hotel bar, and because of the lack of insulation and thin wooden floors, we were repeatedly woken up by drunken guests stomping around on the floor above us. On top of that, the breakfast buffet was rather mediocre, nowhere near the standard you’d expect compared to chains like Scandic. It’s really a shame given the fantastic location, but I would only recommend this place as a last resort for an overnight stop before a flight from Evenes.

One of the most surprising places to stay in Lofoten, originally booked just for the last day before heading back to the airport, but it blew me away. The lake view is stunning, and I’d have stayed another night. Coffee is free all day, and the drive to Eve airport takes about 30 minutes, which is very convenient.

Half an hour from the airport, so it’s handy to stay a night when you arrive. The house by the water is beautiful. The staff are friendly and the dinner and breakfast buffet are good. The space is cozily decorated, and the room is tidy.

Close to the airport, nice setting, dinner available and a hearty breakfast. Lucky to have seen the northern lights right after we arrived. The commercial photos are very flattering; less retouched photos would be closer to reality.
