I stopped here for a night while walking the Meridian trail north through Greenwich, eventually reaching Holbeach before diverting around Wash to Boston; it’s close to the trail and the courtyard room behind the pub was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and peaceful, all in good condition. The facilities were great, including a fridge, microwave, and excellent TV, and shops were nearby. The price was very reasonable with a discount. I didn’t use the bar or restaurant, but many people were dining there when I arrived on Sunday evening and the menu looked appealing. Unfortunately, I couldn’t meet Freddie the cat, even though we also have a cat named Freddie.
