Got a cheap rate of 1300 Rs for two nights, but I’d rather pay a bit more for peace of mind and no scams. Still, it was a harsh lesson about India. If you’re a tourist, steer clear—big scam alert! They cancelled my booking even though I’d already informed them on arrival (first scam—they claimed it was a mistake, I told three different people and have proof). I showed up with a cancelled reservation, and after about 15 min the owner came and demanded I press “I didn’t stay here” in the letter to stay. I had to delete that email right there, and the owner even verified it was permanently removed from the trash. I was terrified, especially at 3 am in Delhi. AI suggested this place, but I don’t recommend the district; the vibe is bad. I even had to make a pinky promise with the owner that this would stay out of it. This isn’t right, and no one should go through this.

The staff were friendly, but problems started as soon as I arrived. The hotel wasn’t the one listed and was much worse. The manager said a monkey bit through the AC pipe, so we had to move. I was shown three rooms, all filthy. The toilet was unclean, the bathroom didn’t match the pictures, and I finally settled on the third. The area isn’t the safest for tourists; I’d suggest staying further south, but that’s my call. The receptionist tried to take my phone for checkout and wanted me to leave a review in front of him. That’s probably why their ratings are inflated—they don’t reflect my experience. Worst of all, I got a few rashes from bed bugs. I wish I’d left before checking in. It’s cheap, but when something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
