“Great location handy to town, helpful friendly staff”

Amazing view and spacious room

Location was great. Breakfast ! It was the same every day. We stayed two weeks and were disappointed it never changed. Also the pancake machine was broken for one week. Charging $5 extra for room service is bad form too

Our room was lake front and the view is great. It’s also a moderate 5-10 min walk into town. The duty managers Ruby and Jasper were showing a high level of service. This hotel is not a four start hotel, at best it is a three star. It should be advertised as a budget hotel and priced accordingly. The hotel was built in the 80s and whatever renovation has taken place could not have changed much. Everything is dated from the worn out gross brown carpets through the hallways, paint flecking from every surface and old plain furniture. The cleaning standard of this hotel is so poor and disgusting that Millennium Group should be ashamed. I’ve stayed at a Copthorne’s before and this does not deserve the name. The carpets in the hallways do not get vacuumed. I stayed three nights and found the same rubbish scattering the hallways every day. The room wasn’t cleaned with care with filthy pubic hairs left in the shower and bathroom walls. I left a note at reception for it to be cleaned and that was ignored, with the room cleaning not occurring at all that day when, we returned to the hotel at 6pm. The next day myself and other guests asked at reception for the rooms to be serviced as they had not been done by 6pm again. On returning we pulled back the sheets to find blood stains and long black hairs in the new bedding. I reported this and the room was fixed and we were given drinks for our trouble but it’s not enough. For the price paid we did not get the value out of this hotel and they should not be using the Copthorne name or claiming to be 4 stars. Additionally the dryers will not dry your clothing efficiently in the one cycle. Wifi only works sometimes. Old TV with no streaming option
