Getting to the airport was a breeze since we walked straight across the road from the car park, and the beds were comfy while breakfast arrived early—ideal for our flight. However, we arrived late and exhausted, only to find my daughter’s bed still a sofa; we had to ask reception for bedding, and a gentleman eventually brought it up. The front desk was swamped, and by then I’d already given up on asking for more cups. At £160 per night, I expected a bit more detail, and we were lucky to snag the single spot left in the hotel car park.

The pillows were uncomfortable and the bed let you feel the springs through the mattress; the basic TV had no freeview and the room smelled like bleach. There was no proper coffee or tea station, just a tiny shelf under the TV, and the plug sockets had no USB ports.
