“Un établissement au cadre remarquable dont le confort des chambres gagneraient à être améliorés.”
The building has a beautiful regional architecture and the breakfast was satisfying, especially with the good local beignets; the young employee was very friendly and gave solid restaurant recommendations. However, we were disappointed with the organization of our stay: my mother and I booked two rooms, yet they were assigned on different floors, and we were told to move between them, which was unfair given the assignment. When my mother, having forgotten her key card, asked for her room to be opened, the staff obliged but also warned her not to repeat this, which felt inappropriate. We also encountered several comfort issues: the safety light above my mother's door stayed on all the time, preventing darkness and hurting her sleep; the front door exposed us to footfall and conversations, which was annoying; the bathroom layout was poor, with the shower in the middle and the toilet at the back, forcing us to walk across a wet floor after showering; it was also noisy because it was under the stairs. These inconveniences noticeably lowered the quality of our stay, which we had hoped would be more pleasant.
