I stayed in two different rooms on two nights. The second night’s room was quite good and had all the facilities you need, and the location is great. The first night’s room was horrible—mosquitoes and no hot water.

The place was very clean, and the staff were helpful and polite. It’s in the centre of the CBD, so the location is great. We stayed twice, before and after our safari trip, and I’d definitely stay again if I came back.

The location is fine, but after extending my stay several times and planning to stay another two to three weeks, my experience with housekeeping ruined it and I moved to a nearby hotel. The main issue was the quality of cleaning and the housekeeper’s attitude. When I ran into her in the corridor, she was rude and unfriendly. I asked for extra shampoo because none had been provided, and instead of helping she said I’d have to wait until she finished her other work. More importantly, the room had serious cleanliness problems: the shelves and surfaces where I’d put my stuff were extremely dirty—my finger would come away black. The cabinet shelf and the area around the safe and nightstand were especially bad. I reported this to the housekeeper and also to reception, who said the room would be cleaned the next day. The next day nothing had changed; the same surfaces were still dirty. That was the most disappointing part. A cleaning issue can be fixed, but reporting it to both housekeeping and reception, being told it would be addressed, and then seeing nothing done is hard to accept. I was a returning guest who had already extended my stay several times and was ready to stay another two or three weeks, but the combination of poor housekeeping, failure to fix a clear cleanliness problem, and an unfriendly attitude toward a simple request convinced me not to extend again. I checked out and moved to a neighboring hotel.
