“Das Essen sowie das "einfache" Personal war das einzig Gute an diesem Hotel.”
The only thing I can highlight positively about this hotel is the food. The large selection and quality were excellent, worthy of a five‑star hotel. Even the “low‑level” staff, like the ladies and gentlemen at the pool service, were very friendly and attentive, giving you a smile unlike the higher‑ranked staff who were arrogant and unfriendly. Unfortunately, there were several issues. The hotel is definitely aging and has lost its shine. The bad experience started at reception: no friendly greeting, just a “no, not again a guest” attitude, no smile, no friendliness. I didn’t feel welcome from the start. The receptionist even insulted my son, which is absolutely unacceptable. Then they put us in a “room” that wasn’t in the hotel corridors but next to the cleaning staff’s material room by the elevators, so the noise level was high. The room didn’t match the pictures – it was only about 2/3 the size it should have been, with crooked lamps on the wall and a broken air conditioner. The balcony was half covered by a wall, forcing us to stand in a corner to catch a glimpse of the sea. I could list more negatives… The food was excellent, but the atmosphere in the dining halls was extremely off‑beat, like a school cafeteria. We weren’t greeted at the entrance of the “restaurant” as we’d expect from a four‑star place; we had to figure out where to sit and how the service worked. I could write more negative things about our stay, but I don’t have the time. We left earlier than booked, which says a lot. In my view, this hotel is not worth staying at, but everyone can form their own opinion. Have fun.
