When we got there, the owner—who seemed to be the manager—was smelling of alcohol and was surrounded by several other men who were also drinking at the entrance. The whole situation made us feel very uneasy, but we stayed because we had already paid. We were put in a shared room for 14 people, with no lockers or keys, and the ventilation was terrible. The pictures online show a modern, clean place, but the reality was the opposite: the facilities were dirty, the bathrooms were in bad shape (even cigarette butts on the floor), and basic safety and etiquette rules were not followed. At night, several drunken men entered the dormitory, made noise, shouted, and tried to open the curtain over my bed. My partner and I had to share the same bed out of fear. This happened several times between 2:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., and there was even a scuffle when one of them tried to pull the curtain again. It was a frightening and unsafe experience. The next morning we left, while the owner was sleeping in a chair, unaware of anything. I would not recommend this hostel at all, especially not as a safe place for women. I hope Booking reviews the false or manipulated reviews that make this place look better than it really is.
