The location is excellent, right next to the city center and Bryggen, and the breakfast is amazing with every type of fish imaginable. The rooms on the second floor have a low ceiling, so I bumped my head on it several times.

The breakfast is definitely the highlight of the hotel; it’s simple but I found it pricey, though in Bergen it’s hard to get a better deal. The place is quiet and the staff are very kind. If you’re traveling with a suitcase, the steep stairs are a hassle, and the room barely has space to open them or store clothes. Also, the beds are very soft and slightly slanted because of the floor.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the location is quiet and very pretty, and the breakfast is outstanding. I’ll definitely come back!

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The room faced the street at ground level, so you had no privacy unless you closed the blinds, which left no natural light. The shower was super tiny, and there was an unpleasant smell in the room.
