“Mit Service und Freundlichkeit wird fast alles ausgeglichen”
The hotel feels traditional but not old‑fashioned. The only downside was that there was no elevator.

The location is central, the hotel cozy, and the breakfast good. The new manager comes across as very unprofessional and not solution‑oriented when a guest has a problem; it even feels like guests who overbook are not really welcome. We have an electric car and were told at booking that parking for charging would be arranged with the hotel. The hotel has four charging spots; when we arrived only one was free, two were occupied by combustion cars, and the last spot was taken by the manager herself. At check‑in the reception was neither warm nor interested; we asked her directly if we could charge our car or if a spot was still available, and she spoke to us in a very rude tone, insisting we had to register or reserve it. She didn’t let me explain why I couldn’t do that; when I finally spoke, she replied in a demeaning tone, “you should have booked through the hotel’s own website.” When I asked where we could park and charge, she pointed to a public lot a few meters away; I asked again if we could charge there, and she just said “yeah, I guess we’ll put the key there and go.” We were shocked by that behavior. In fact, we couldn’t charge at that spot; if we hadn’t already paid the hotel, we wouldn’t have stayed. The next day many guests left, so the parking spots were free again. The hotel could have offered us a solution. I still remember the hotel when it was run by the Brühl couple; it’s absolutely incomparable now. Very disappointing.

Because of the top‑class staff, we almost missed the hotel, but the staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, the location convenient, and the rooms clean. The noise was a little louder than I had expected.

The hotel’s location was good and within walking distance to Drosselgasse. Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. The staff were very friendly. I would return, although the parking rate was high.
