“You need new Inn Keepers the place is gross!”
The location is good. It was filthy! I stayed there 5 years ago and loved it! Now it is beyond dirty!
“We love staying at the Inn. The rooms are comfortable and it is in a great location.”
The room was spotless and had a pleasant scent, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast could use some work – there were no baked goods or bread options, and adding pancakes or hash browns would be nice. Also, the bath towels could benefit from a softer touch.
“Great stay.”
Breakfast was tasty, and Chrissy delivered excellent service.
“Place has potential, but not living up to it.”
The downstairs common rooms and furnishings were lovely, very period‑appropriate. The location was outstanding, a short walk to several tourist spots and eateries. The bathroom cleanliness was lacking: the sink bowl was clean but dusty and dirty around the back rim and faucet; the shower curtain definitely needed washing as there were noticeable black spots (mold?) at the bottom 18" or so, which only became apparent when we used the shower in the morning (if we’d noticed at check‑in it would have changed our decision to stay). When we asked at check‑in what time breakfast was served, we were told it depended on when the owner arrived—sometimes 9:00 am or even 10:00 am! Needless to say, we left by 8:00 and found a great diner instead. When we left, there were no signs of anything being prepared or sounds or smells of food or coffee. There was a Keurig but hardly anything resembling breakfast. We slept well, but definitely recommend the caretaker up their game on cleanliness. This historic building deserves to be brought to its full grandeur, maybe add a headboard and nicer linens.
“A Wonderful experience at the Tillie Pierce home!”
Everything was perfect: the staff were kind and genuine, the house was beautiful and immaculate, and I’d never want to stay at a hotel again. I loved every aspect of my stay – the room, the food, the hospitality – and I’d highly recommend the Tillie Pierce home to all my friends and family. Thank you for making my stay wonderful! The only downside was parking; it was inconvenient because we had to park down the alley, though we did have a spot.
