The meal at the hotel was magnificent, and breakfast was really nice and filling. The only fault we found was the overly heavy Doona and cover.

The room was lovely, quiet, and offered great privacy. Nothing else; parking is available.

The staff were friendly and the room was spacious with a lovely mountain view; the beds were extremely comfortable. However, when showering the water spills over the bath because the shower sits above it and the glass is only a single panel—adding a shower rail might help keep the water contained.

During the Woodend Winter Festival, the Brewhouse was perfectly positioned, just a 5 or 10 minute walk from each venue. The toilet, however, needed adjustment: it would flush, stop, then re‑flush for 1–2 minutes, wasting water.

The building’s old‑world charm, clean rooms, and great staff made for a pleasant stay, and the Pilsner was awesome! It also served as a good base for exploring Hanging Rock and its surroundings. The wall‑mounted radiator didn’t provide enough heat for the room’s size, but the electric bed blankets more than compensated, keeping the room nice and toasty.
