“Entspannte Unterkunft in Siem Reap”
The place sits nicely quiet yet still fairly central, and the big garden with a lovely pool was the main reason we booked it so we could unwind after temple visits or other outings in the afternoon. Unfortunately the pool had to be cleaned just before we arrived because of a rainstorm, so we couldn’t use it. In return we got an unexpected room upgrade to what felt like a fully equipped apartment, which was great for the price. A private airport transfer cost 25 USD, and the host arranged a reliable tuk‑tuk driver who took us to various sights in and around Siem Reap on three days (about 20‑40 USD per day depending on distance and duration, including Angkor small & big circuit, Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean, Beng Mealea, Kampong Khleang). The small bar with a fridge for self‑service was a nice touch. Rooms were spotless, the bed comfortable, and the A/C did its job – all excellent. There was no issue for us, but you shouldn’t expect a luxury hotel here; the vibe is more like a “family hostel” with a higher standard. You sit in the garden, chat with the hosts or other guests, grab a drink from the bar, and jot things down in a notebook – it’s very relaxed, occasionally a bit chaotic.
