Unique and lovely stay in a central spot; the family room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful kitchen and lounge. Morning prayers and various courses were offered at the temple.

We really liked the temple hotel! Everything was absolutely clean and the staff very friendly. Our family room even had a washing machine/tumbler. Unfortunately the instructions were only in Japanese, but we could have asked. The location is top—between the train station and the old town. The sermon/ritual by the Buddhist monk impressed us. Nothing negative; it was very beautiful and authentic.

It was a wonderful and educational stay. The optional courses, like meditation and making onigiri, are highly recommended, and the morning service was very interesting.

Excellent experience sleeping in a temple. The service was unparalleled and even though the bathroom was shared we had no issues; everything was super clean and there was a booking system for the shared bathroom. It has a great location, the best part of our trip to Japan. We did morning meditation, something you can’t miss.

Everything was perfect, an excellent experience. Prayer, meditation, and making onigiri were a plus and a pleasant souvenir. I regret not staying longer. The in‑room equipment is top, the washer also dries. The relaxing setting and warm welcome from the staff truly won us over.
