The large family room overlooking the river was beautiful, and having two bathrooms was a welcome touch. The food was exceptional, the pool lovely, and there were plenty of birds and wildlife to enjoy. The hotel was under renovation, but that didn’t interfere with our stay. One shower was broken, though we weren’t expecting two anyway, and the extra toilet and sink were much appreciated.

The rooms and river view were great, and the owner was very helpful, even arranging dinner after the staff had left. It was a nice break after a long day in Kandy. The location is a bit farther from Kandy, but that gives it a quieter setting.

Sulochana was an amazing and generous host who went above and beyond to make sure our family, especially the little ones, felt comfortable and enjoyed their stay. Her food was the most delicious we had in Sri Lanka, and her cooking class was a highlight. Thank you, Sulochana!

The hotel was situated on a beautiful riverside spot in Kandy, a country house surrounded by a lush garden with fruit trees. We had a spacious room. In the morning, monkeys ran across the roof to grab fruit. The owner was very kind and cooked a delicious meal for us, and the breakfast was also very tasty. Everything was served on the terrace with a great view of the river, surrounded by greenery. The bathroom was interior‑only and therefore damp.
