The location is great for the Peddars Way and a 15‑20 minute walk into Castle Acre. The place is immaculately clean—either recently refurbished or very well maintained. There’s a good selection of items for the kettle (coffee machine, biscuits, decaf tea, etc.) and a useful fridge. Nobody is on site, but the entry arrangements via text worked smoothly. The George and Dragon next door is a great pub—too bad they don’t serve breakfast, but that was clear in the listing so we were prepared. Nothing could be faulted about the Pig Shed. Because there’s no onsite staff and no breakfast, I personally felt the price was a little high; maybe I’m just a tight‑wad—you’ll have to decide for yourself.

I stayed here as a stopover and it was spot on – clean, eco‑friendly, and the staff were super friendly. Parking was easy and the Wi‑Fi worked well. The pub next door was a nice touch for English‑speaking guests, earning a solid 10. The only downside was the lack of a mat to take off shoes; the whole room ended up with dirt on the tiles.
