Breakfast was excellent, the reception staff were friendly, and the place was perfectly quiet inside and out; the manor feels authentic in its structure and furnishings, though it could use a touch of renovation.

The reception was very dry and a Chinese staff member was unfriendly, telling us that any effort or smile is too much and that guests are not welcome; compared to 20 years ago this paradise has lost all its charm. The lovely terrace is unkempt, the gravel is overgrown with weeds, the seating is ugly, old, and has no cushions; besides the fact that there is no dinner offered, wine is no longer served. The shower was unclean, the towels smelled bad—truly sad.

The reception was cold, the place is very old and dirty (room with nail polish on the table, unclean carpet, general dust, degraded equipment, untidy bathroom, poorly maintained pool with water bugs, etc.); the property has potential and once had its glory days but is now neglected and poorly maintained—disappointing.
