AmicitiA, a renovated boat hostel in Amsterdam’s city centre, sits directly opposite NEMO and 1 km from Central Station and the historic Oude Kerk near the Red Light District. Guests enjoy heated cabins with hand basins, shared bathrooms, free Wi‑Fi, and a Dutch breakfast of cheese, pastries, and coffee. The old deck offers panoramic canal views, while nearby cafés and restaurants provide local flavor.

One of the most beautiful views in all of Amsterdam! A small, pretty cabin with everything you need. Delicious breakfast. Absolutely the best location!

The location was great, and breakfast was fine, and the view was nice. The boat is very central; you can reach the city in about 10 minutes. Check‑in was simple, and from the balcony you get a nice view of St. Nicholas Basilica. Breakfast is acceptable, but the tables are sticky and the cutlery and glasses are sometimes dirty. The bedrooms are very small and echo‑prone. The room is dirty, with spider webs and dust, and the bedding, duvet, and pillows have stains, discoloration, and a musty smell. There is only one outlet in the room, but there is a sink. The toilets are also dirty, and there is a communal towel on the sink for drying hands. The sinks are very small, making hand washing difficult. The toilets are small and moldy; thin people can barely fit between the door and the toilet bowl. The toilets are also dirty, and sometimes the toilet paper is on the dirty floor. All doors creak. The toilet door is hard to close and makes a loud noise. The showers are also small and moldy. All rooms are deep and unsuitable for people taller than 1.80 m. Wi‑Fi reception is poor in both the room and the lounge, and it keeps dropping you out. We stayed four nights on this boat, and if the city had not been so cool, we would remember Amsterdam as –10 out of 10.
