“Great Hostel room for improvement”

The place is super nice and the staff are very friendly and clean. A 15‑minute drive to General Luna is worth it for a quieter vibe. The beach right in front of the hostel isn’t great, but a 5‑minute scooter ride gets you to a nice one. The owners enforce strict rules; more flexible scooter rental rates for longer stays, surf rack upgrades, or surf skate ID options would make guests stay on‑site instead of outside. Adding basic scrambled eggs to the restaurant menu would also be nice.

I had a memorable stay at Hostel Bajala—chill, especially in the front area where you can relax and watch the sunset. It’s clean, the staff are accommodating, I met a nice girl, and most roommates were friendly. It’s a bit far from the center, so renting a motorcycle is a good idea.

“Super nice !!”

I loved being in Malinao, a quiet spot only 15 minutes from General Luna. Renting a motorbike is perfect. The room was very clean. I met very nice people from all over the world. Volunteers organized activities that let us socialize together, which helped us get to know each other. The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast and the Indian restaurant upstairs were both tasty, and free drinks—sodas, beers, etc.—were available in the afternoon. I’m very glad I chose Bajala for my last days in Siargao.

“Very beautiful hotel”

The hotel and common area are very beautiful and picturesque. The upstairs restaurant serves great food and the staff are very nice. Near the beach there’s a common relax area with hanging beds that look beautiful too. The location is nice, away from the main area’s action, and just a 10‑minute tuk‑tuk ride away. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The downside is the harsh stain policy: we had to pay 1,500 pesos for a stain on the sheet. I imagine a new sheet would cost less than 1,500 pesos, but we were told about the policy when we entered, so we should have been more careful.

Cleanliness is great and the place is quite quiet. No issues so far; everything is good.
