Tulip Hotel

The hotel is quiet, pleasant, and comfortable for those seeking peace and relaxation; the furniture is historic and natural, reflecting the place’s heritage, creating a lovely experience with simple Egyptian ambience. The rooms are very clean, and Dina, who is very attentive to cleanliness and your requests, deserves thanks. This is my fourth stay at this hotel; the staff member Khadidja is excellent with payments and reservations, one of the best in the place.

“The friendliest hotel in Cairo”

Located in central Cairo at a square with intriguing architecture, only minutes from the Nile, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the morning coffee served in a nice room is superb. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the square, letting you join the city life, while quieter rooms face the back; just ask the staff. I rarely experience such friendly service as at Hotel Tulip, so I warmly recommend it for a Cairo stay. There is nothing to complain about.

The location is great, and the morning staff is very friendly; the windows are wall‑mounted, the bathroom is simple but clean, and the evening staff seem somewhat uninterested.

“Excellente localisation dans le vieux Caire authentique. Petit hôtel ancien avec son charme.”

The hotel sits excellently on Talaat Harb Square, a 5‑minute walk from El‑Tahrir Square, ideal for those wanting authentic old Cairo. Though a bit old, it has charm; comfort is basic but sufficient for simple travel. The staff are friendly and attentive, breakfast is good, and I recommend the room with a view of the square. Minor issues: a proper shower curtain is needed for a comfortable shower, cleanliness was a bit limited with floor condition, hair, and dust; even as an old hotel with charm, some comfort improvements would help. The great location also brings noise, so sound insulation could be improved, but good earplugs make it manageable.

The location is fantastic—walking to the old museum takes only 5 minutes, and there are plenty of highly rated restaurants nearby. The balcony offers a view of stylish surrounding buildings, and the hotel itself is spotless with very friendly staff.
