Breakfast isn’t included in the price and must be ordered separately; the lounge is very interesting and beautifully designed with a cat artwork on the table, which is extraordinary; the location is perfect, close to Peace Park and the museum, and there are cozy restaurants around the corner; the room is compact but impeccably clean and functional.

It offered great value for money; I was concerned it might feel too ‘hostel‑like’ for me and my mum, but it was fine, and the location was great, though, like many places in Japan, it doesn’t provide a lot of space if that matters to you.

Proximity to Peace park, museum and ferry dock to Miajima was a convenient ten minute walk, lots of shopping & restaurants close by. Although small, double room was practical, comfortable and clean. Check in and out was easy, small practical kitchen available to use. Place was quiet when we stayed. The ship’s cat theme was fun!. Nothing really!
