Glamping EcoLodge Cueva De Las Aguilas

Great beach, great location, pretty gastronomy. Lodge 1 is directly on the beach with a perfect view. If you’re staying at the standard Eco‑Lodge, you shouldn’t use disposable plastic cups or paper cups. The IKEA plastic plants in my tent were interesting, but the tent only had a small shelf for storage. There was a wardrobe that could have been locked, but the hotel didn’t offer locks or anything like a safe for rent, which made it feel unsafe to leave all my valuables unprotected in a tent.

“Loved it”

Breakfast was perfect, the lodge beach was okay but full of rocks and very clean; the location was remote and tiring to reach, though that was expected from past reviews. The staff were extremely helpful and patient, but we didn’t appreciate the BOT named Carolina when there were payment issues with a UK bank that suspected fraud. Restaurant staff were amazing. I loved the open‑air showers instead of enclosed ones. Sunsets were incredible, the boat trip to Bahia De Las Aquilas was amazing, and the beach and water there were wonderful. The bar sells Haitian beer Prestige, which is a must‑try. Overall, aside from the six hours of driving from the capital, I thoroughly enjoyed glamping at the eco lodge. The Bot Carolina was the only downside.

It’s gorgeous, but the mosquitoes are a real nuisance 🤦🏽‍♀️

The staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous; the cocktails are great, the natural juices excellent, and the scenery is spectacular; breakfast was superb. The dinner was weak, they should hire someone who knows how to make pizza; the music in the dining room was too loud, and some sinks weren’t working properly.
