The location was fantastic, just a 7‑minute walk from the Forbidden City; the building is historic, the furnishings a bit dated but everything was very clean; the reception staff were easy to communicate with and very helpful; the breakfast was decent, nothing special.

The location was very central, close to shopping centres, stores and restaurants, and right next to the Forbidden City; the beds felt more like standing on a stone than on mattresses; the furniture was old; the bathroom was poorly maintained with a very old bathtub full of stains and a stained floor; they only made the bed, barely cleaned, and the bath towels were heavily worn with stains that wouldn’t wash off.

The location, comfort, and cleanliness were good; however, the desk staff were cold and unhelpful, while the service staff were very good; there was an internet connectivity issue and nobody could help me; English was spoken poorly; the cash dispenser only accepted a few Chinese banks.
