“Beach and Beers”
The spot is spot on – beach and pub right next door, couldn’t ask for more. The rooms got a bit warm, even though it wasn’t peak summer, so a stronger fan might be handy.

The motel is opposite a pizza place which is convenient. It's by the beach is probably a bonus for some but didn't matter to us as we were just passing through. But to be honest with you, there was nothing that I liked about this motel. Driving from Melbourne to the Gold Coast I felt unwell and decided last minute to stop overnight at Coffs Harbour to get a good nights' sleep. Because of the public holiday, every single room in Coffs was taken except for this one, which cost $450 for the night. I was so tired and unwell that we decided to take it just to get some rest. The room was advertised as three bunk beds but turned out to be a double bed with a bunk bed which actually suited us better. However, that was the last of the good fortune. The pub was busy so there was no parking. We had to park on the street and carry our luggage across the road. There was a group of really large guys hanging outside their room and our room which was off-putting as we arrived at night. The room was like a prison cell, really bleak. That was when I realised there had been no photos of the room on the website. There was a kettle but no cups, coffee or milk, so a bit pointless really. The bathroom was so small it was just a shower and a toilet, no sink and definitely no toiletries. The water in the morning was lukewarm. I knew there was a band playing in the pub which was fair enough, but wasn't prepared for the men sitting talking and loudly hawking up flem outside our room until the early hours. Neither was I prepared for the beach doof-doof rave until 5am which my ear plugs were no match for. I finally got to sleep at 5.30am and woke up at 8.30am feeling more tired and more unwell than when I had gone to bed. It was certainly the worst, and most expensive, motel I've stayed in. It's certainly somewhere you stay because you have to, not because you choose to

The room had no AC, and the music stayed loud until 1 am, then the construction crew started up again at 5 am the next morning.

The shower pressure was good. I was extremely disappointed with how rude the staff was when I asked them about which room we were in. All parking spots were full so we had to park down the street. People were yelling and talking all night outside the rooms, making it hard to sleep.

Check‑in was easy, check‑out convenient, it’s very affordable, the location is good, and the pub is great. In Room 25 the shower drainage was blocked, so water could overflow over the tile tray. The shower mat was just an old cut‑up towel, not very absorbent, leaving you walking around the bathroom with wet feet.
