The room had no special perks, but several issues stood out. First, it was summer and the fridge simply didn’t work—just a box of ice, so I had to buy ice at a convenience store and keep my food cold that way. When I mentioned it in the lobby, they told me there was a water dispenser on the first floor and to go down and get water, which made no sense. Second, the AC couldn’t be adjusted; the central system seemed to fluctuate the airflow, so it was unbearably hot during the day, though it was fine at night. Third, the PC was a low‑spec machine with 8 GB RAM, an i5 processor, a GTX‑550 graphics card, and Windows 7, so none of the modern games like League of Legends or Valorant ran, and even Star Craft only hit about 40 fps, dropping to 22 when starting. The machine couldn’t be upgraded to Windows 10, so I ended up only watching YouTube. The OTT service was supposedly available per room, but when I tried it from another room it wouldn’t work.

We were able to leave our luggage before checking in, which was convenient. However, the place felt more like a love hotel than we expected. There were many stains on the walls that made the overall impression dirty, even though the bathroom and floors looked clean. An ashtray sat on the table and the room carried a strong cigarette smell that lingered.

We initially thought it was a love hotel because condoms were handed out at check‑in. The room was quite large and comfortable, equipped with a computer and a very big bathtub. Its location was good, not far from the subway, many restaurants, and shops. The room was quiet and we didn’t hear any other guests at all.

“Bonne localisation”

The location was good, with excellent dining right across the street. The cigarette odor was overwhelming, and it made it hard to sleep.
