I was utterly disappointed. The full 570 € was taken, yet we never got to use the property and the owners gave us no refund or even a reply—complete silence. The hotel confirmed via Booking that the cancellation and charge were processed by the establishment itself. When we called, the operator had offered us a free cancellation request, but we were only 15 minutes away and would have gladly stayed, used the pool, and had breakfast for 5 on both mornings. After we asked, we received no response, and the hotel refused to give us the access codes, preventing us from enjoying the stay. They later told us verbally that the second night would be refunded, and that the first night would need to be settled with the owners, who were not present. Beyond the money, the way they handled things left us with a bitter taste: no answers, conflicting information, and promises that never materialised. We feel manipulated and abandoned once the payment was taken. Beware of this place and how its owners deal with issues; it’s an experience we won’t forget.

The only thing missing was the milk for the pillow and the conditioner, which is expected in such a hotel and place. The doors had poor isolation, and in the morning I was woken by staff noise from the dining room and the smell from the kitchen—no problem if you need to sleep longer than the 1060 km drive. The text in the column was what I liked.

The place was calm and silent, and the bedding was comfortable. The address was hard to find, the reception was cold, there was a communal fridge in the hall, and breakfast was served very late.

Das gepflegte Anwesen bietet schöne, große Zimmer in ruhiger Umgebung. Im Ort (5-10 Min mit dem Auto) gibt es Restaurants für ein leckeres Abendessen. Ab 8:30 Uhr gibt es ein französisches Frühstück. Leider waren wir für die Weinverkostung (10-18 Uhr) zu spät und mussten am nächsten Tag auch früh weiterfahren
