It’s in a good spot, close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, and the room comes with a mini‑fridge. Everything else feels old and in need of a makeover, and the pictures don’t match the current state—probably from years ago. The window is covered, so the room is always dark, and there’s no space near the sink to store anything. The host’s first question about whether we really wanted to stay there felt a bit odd, but he and the rest of the place turned out fine. If you’re okay with a decent location and minimal comfort, this could work.

We barely even looked at the place before we ran away. The motel was dirty, had no sink, and the toilet was appalling. I can’t understand how they rent out such a spot.

I never actually stayed there; the photos were nothing like the place, so I booked elsewhere through Booking, and Cenang Plaza turned out to be fantastic.
