The place had a charming, 1718 heritage feel, and the food was incredible; the staff were friendly and it felt like staying in a living museum inside the fort, a perfect experience.

We were graciously upgraded to the king room at no extra cost, which we really appreciated; the room itself was fantastic and well equipped, and we loved the old colonial vibe that matched the fort so well. The breakfast degustation was delicious and worth every penny, easily one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in Sri Lanka, and overall the value was great while the staff remained polite and helpful throughout. The only downside was a brief power cut that happened a few times during our stay, and we noticed solar panels being installed on the roof, so hopefully this won’t be an issue for long.

The hotel was absolutely stunning, exuding a serene and relaxing vibe; the welcome drink was so refreshing and delicious that I’m still thinking about it. The room was on the smaller side but had everything we needed, and the shower pressure was great, something we missed in many other places. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, giving a 10/10 for their service. The breakfast – the 'Breagustation' – was to die for and hands down the best breakfast we’ve had during our 3‑week trip, so much so that we joked about taking the chef home.

Very cute and personal service, but the coffee delivered to the rooms in the morning is very sweet and a slow, messy, and ineffective way to get a cup of coffee.

A fantastic gem of a location inside the fort off Galle; the staff are amazing and super attentive, and the rooms are really clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good and should not be missed – a great start to your day of exploring the fort and surrounding areas, 10/10.
