“Havre de paix à la japonaise”
We had an unforgettable stay – the house, service, welcome, style, and onsen were flawless and stunning; we celebrated my husband's birthday there and it was a real success.

We rarely see a place built and equipped with such meticulous care and affection; the whole house and its rooms are simply gorgeous, showcasing the finest traditional Japanese architecture, and this extends to the meals and the entire staff. There is nothing that could possibly be disliked!

The property was absolutely beautiful and the location breathtaking; we loved how traditional and relaxing it felt, and we loved everything about it!

Every aspect of this traditional Japanese ryokan felt high‑class, surrounded by an exceptional setting, and the breakfast quality was very high. The dinner option was pricey, so we skipped it, though the breakfast experience suggested the dinner would also have been very good.

The calm here feels heavenly; the décor blends modern with traditional, and the spacious room’s bathroom features a hot pool overlooking Amanohashidate’s waters. Breakfast offered delicate flavours in a beautiful presentation, and I’d advise booking dinner ahead, whether at the hotel or nearby, since many lunch spots close early. The onsen includes both outdoor and indoor pools, fully equipped with towels and other amenities. There was absolutely nothing to complain about.
