The room was finished with fine French materials and perfectly fitted. The bed and linen were very comfortable, and the view across the internal courtyard was very pretty. The room was lovely, but there was no place to put our cases except on the floor; a small case stand would have been beneficial. Otherwise it was gorgeous and very well proportioned.

It was beyond all our expectations. In our opinion, it is one of the most amazing hotels in the world. Definitely one of the best we have been to. Thank you very much! We did not dislike anything.

We booked and paid for a room advertised on the hotel’s website as “courtyard facing.” This was a key reason for choosing the hotel, as we knew the street-facing rooms overlooked a busy road with a bar below. On arrival, we were given a street-facing room. When we raised this, the hotel acknowledged the mistake but said there were no alternative rooms available. They offered us a bottle of champagne, which we appreciated, but it did little to address the issue. This was our first week away from our baby, and we had been looking forward to some proper rest. Unfortunately, the noise from the bar and road disrupted our sleep. Had we known we would be given a street-facing room, we would not have booked. Given that the room was not as advertised and this significantly affected our stay, we had hoped for a reduction in the room rate or a partial refund. Neither was offered. Very disappointing, particularly as the hotel acknowledged the error.
