It was quiet, familiar, and the nearby shops were easy to reach; the restaurants were within walking distance and the surrounding conveniences made the stay much nicer overall. The bathtub in the bathroom squeaked whenever I moved, which was a little unsettling, but the washroom was clean and I got used to the squeaks.

I was impressed by the breakfast and the staff who served it were very friendly, but the maintenance left a lot to be desired: the shower spout leaked, the exercise room had only one working TV with a remote, the other TV had no signal and couldn’t be watched at all, and the machines seemed to be in the wrong spot. I’ve been in maintenance for 30 years, so I know what to look for. The cleaning was subpar too—confetti littered the halls, the bathroom on the west side of the main floor looked like someone had thrown up, and it seemed the cleaning crew didn’t start until later, leaving the rooms dirty for morning guests.
