“On the beach, good simple accommodation”

Right on the beach (though the Google Maps pin was way off, it’s opposite CocoRico hostel). We stayed in the Villas, which were basic but had all the necessities. The bathroom was rustic, so don’t expect a great shower. The resort restaurant offers a great view of the water and beach, a nice spot to work, grab coffee, or eat. Not their fault, but when we were there Port Barton had power outages from 4 am until lunchtime. The main building has a generator, but your room doesn’t. Unfortunately you can’t/don’t want to swim straight off the beach (water and jellyfish), but several jaw‑dropping beaches are a short scooter ride away. Like most resorts, there can be a bit of noise from surrounding resorts.

The staff were very kind and the hotel sits right on the beach; Beverly took great care of us, setting up a private island‑hopping tour that turned out to be fantastic with an excellent team.

The spot is great, right on the beach and the air conditioning kept the room chill. Breakfast comes free and you can grab it straight onto the sand. The shower had hot water whenever you wanted it, and the beds were decent with clean sheets and two pillows each. The room turned out smaller than the photos and description suggested; they said it had two double beds and three single beds (two bunk beds), but we got a cramped space with just two single beds. The room looked worn and needed a makeover, and the bathroom was a disaster—moldy curtains with what looked like gecko droppings that I had to scrub off, a shower that flooded and stopped draining, and a floor littered with hair and grit that the front desk didn’t clean up. I had to tidy it myself with tissues and napkins. It’s a bit sad and depressing, so I spent as little time in it as possible, but that’s the point of staying right on the beach.

“Doskonala lokalizacja!”

One of the better places we’ve stayed at – perhaps the whole town of Port Barton contributes, but I appreciate that the little hotel sits right on the beach yet is effectively in the centre of everything (hard to find a better location) and stays quiet at night. Breakfast is included (small but fine), and there’s a restaurant with a great beachfront terrace; a few steps the other way are more beachside eateries. They helped with transfers and island hopping, and the staff were very friendly. I recommend it. The “sea‑view room” claim is a bit overstated: the two‑storey building sits perpendicular to the water, so the window actually looks out onto the parking lot, though stepping outside puts the sea within arm’s reach.

The hotel's location right on the beach was absolutely magical, but unfortunately, it was let down by the unfriendly staff and the lack of Wi-Fi in the rooms. I mean, who doesn't expect to be able to check their emails or scroll through their feeds after a long day at the beach? The staff seemed pretty uninterested in helping us, which was a real shame given the stunning views we had from our room. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the Wi-Fi issue was a major inconvenience.
