The biggest draw was the location, within walking distance of the railway station and key sites like Sri Maha Bodhi and Jethavanaramaya, which made sightseeing a breeze. We arrived by train and could also hop on PickMe tuk‑tuks for farther spots. We booked a triple room for just the two of us, so it felt spacious enough. The room featured a king‑size bed, a single bed, two chairs, a bedside cupboard with an electric kettle, a small clothes rack, a small cupboard, and a wall‑mounted mirror that had a slightly faded coating in the middle. AC and a ceiling fan kept the room cool. Basic amenities such as soap, tea, coffee, tea bags, and small bottles of water were supplied. The lady running the place was kind and helpful; she even chased a wasp out of our room when we mentioned it. Homemade food was tasty and homely. The garden and surroundings had a natural vibe, with butterflies, squirrels, and a cute stray dog adding to the lively atmosphere. Overall, it was a solid option if you need a clean, comfortable room while exploring Anuradhapura. However, there were many mosquitoes, understandable given the environment, but it would have helped to have mosquito repellent or nets, especially at night. The room was fairly average; the small cupboard was a bit wobbly, so we didn’t use it, and we stored luggage on the extra bed. The garden seemed less well‑maintained than before, possibly due to the heat. I wouldn’t pick this place if I wanted to relax there, but for sleeping and exploring nearby sacred sites, it was convenient and pleasant.
