The pool and location were good, but we didn’t have air conditioning and it was hard to sleep at night.

The location was fine, but even though they said I’d arrive around 17/18h, they called saying the room wouldn’t be ready until 19h, and when it was 19h we had to wait over an hour to drop our bags. The room was 30° hot without air conditioning, and the fan just recirculated the hot air.

We booked the house for 3 days and 2 nights to visit the Matarraña area with family. We chose it for its location, included breakfast, and its pool. The stay was very pleasant: the facilities and rooms were very clean, the breakfast was complete and abundant, and the pool was totally clean and chlorine‑free (salt water). Some negative reviews surprised us, but after seeing the owner’s friendliness and helpfulness, we were pleased. If we return to the area, we’ll definitely book at Mas del Cigarrer again.

I was looking for a quiet spot to unwind by the pool surrounded by nature after a hectic few days, and this place delivered exactly that. The collection of masías is beautiful and set in an idyllic location, and the owner treated us with great kindness. However, the overall maintenance feels a bit lacking, and the rooms could use some investment. The bed linens looked quite worn (though clean), and the old fan probably wouldn’t have worked even on a hot night. They informed us a few hours before we couldn’t pay by card, and luckily we had time to hit the ATM; it would have been better to get that notice at the time of booking via an automatic message. Also, because it’s far from any bar or shop (you really need a car), a vending machine with water, a couple of cold drinks, and some potato chips would have been a nice touch.
