The bed was comfy and the breakfast was solid. The bin in the room hadn’t been emptied and the bed wasn’t made, plus there was a blaring disco track coming from below us. We both struggled to read the menu because it was printed on a green background, but we’re both pretty old.

The bedding and towels were still on the floor, and the TV remote was missing. I found a used condom in the bathroom bin and had to scrub the room before I could use it. The crockery at breakfast was dirty and the food was terrible. I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but this was just awful.

The dinner was fantastic and I even complimented the chef. Breakfast was good, but the room was tiny even though I had paid for a size‑up from the smallest twin. The hotel clearly needs a facelift, yet the staff were lovely.

The first thing I noticed in the room was a horrible mix of sewage and stale vomit, and on the bed they’d left a can of air freshener. The carpet beside the bed was wet, crumbs littered the stool and under the desk, and the bathroom was in dire need of refurbishment—rust ran down the radiator onto the floor and the room smelled worse than the bedroom. The booking details said breakfast started at 7 am, but when I arrived I was told it began at 8 am, so I left hungry because of work.
