The room was very nice, the service was extremely friendly, the kitchen was very good, but we only stayed one night; we’ll definitely return.

We were greeted with great warmth—a handshake from the receptionist—followed by a spacious lobby, roomy and solid upper floors, spotless rooms, and a lovely balcony with a view; the lobby also has several nooks for a drink. Breakfast was outstanding, different from the usual, with jam, honey and other spreads served in small jars, so no mess, and table service for coffee or tea. Each table bore a welcome sign with our names and was set for the right number of guests. When we left, we were personally seen off with a handshake. Nothing really bothered us, though with the 33 °C heat an air‑conditioner would be nice, even if the room stayed tolerable, and it would be better if the downstairs neighbors didn’t smoke on the balcony. There is a hotel‑wide smoking ban, which should also apply to balconies since nearby guests might find smoke irritating.

As a QM assessor for the German Business Award I can recommend this hotel and its restaurant without reservation, both personally and professionally. The very personal welcome with a handshake, the young hotel manager taking my wife’s luggage, and the chance to pick between two presented rooms—a truly positive and unusual experience—made a lasting impression and highlight the property’s quality. Moreover, our requests and special wishes were handled in a discreet, friendly, warm yet firm manner. Our later dinner was exemplary; the service combined warmth, flexibility and a relaxed vibe, and the food was simply excellent. Breakfast the next morning was also superb, especially the small glasses presenting portions of various treats, which not only helps the environment but reduces waste—a clear quality hallmark. Hats off and sincere compliments to the whole team. The only downside is that the wonderful property sits on a through‑road, so when you’re seated outside the traffic from trucks can be disturbing; however, the “inner values” of the house largely compensate, and the rear rooms with balconies offer beautiful valley and hill views, which more than makes up for it.
