The villa was very clean with excellent facilities, and the entire residential area was impeccably maintained. The gardeners did a great job across the whole site. I could reach the owner via WhatsApp and she was very helpful with small issues. The only problem was that the booking portals didn’t clearly state that cash payment was required on arrival. With over 200 bookings, this was the first time I had to pay in cash even though my credit card details were on file. I was told I should have left 20,000,000 VND on the table, and the nearest ATM was 15 km away in Phan Thiet. I was lucky to eventually pay by card after some discussion, but it felt like an absolute exception. The whole Novaworld feels like a movie set, with more staff than guests, and everything looks like a zombie apocalypse. At the Aloha Beachbar we spent most of the day alone with eight waiters and a security guard—who’s paying for that?
Our group of seven stayed in a villa right inside Novaworld Resort Phan Thiet, which was beautifully designed and well equipped. Because it was low season, there were few tourists, so we enjoyed two gorgeous swimming pools entirely to ourselves. The staff from DT Travel were very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The kitchen should have a trash bin, and Novaworld Phan Thiet is about 22 km from the city center with no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby. There should also be wall hooks in the restrooms for hanging clothes or towels after a shower.
“Kì nghỉ vui, chỉ ko thích xe điện thu phí vô lí”
The beach is only a 500 m walk away. The hotel was spotless, newly built, and fully equipped; every corner was photogenic. The villa had three spacious bedrooms and was very affordable. The only downside was that the five parks in the area were far, and the bus wait times were long. The electric shuttle charged a deceptive 10 k per person, then ran only 200 m from the security gate to the Movenpick entrance, where the bus stop announced free rides while the shuttle didn’t go to Safari. From the start, the staff and the shuttle driver didn’t inform guests, so we had to climb onto a buggy and pay additional fees—an unnecessary expense after a long wait.
“Indrukwekkend”
The villa was situated in a large villa park but was almost empty. The villas are old but very well maintained, as are the gardens and streets. It feels a bit like a ghost town. No drinks were allowed or sold at the pool, and there was nothing to do despite the many amenities.
The location was convenient, the accommodation was comfortable, and the furnishings were luxurious and high‑quality.
