“Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber immer noch mit Charme”
Even though the hotel feels a bit dated, its former shine is still noticeable; both the building and my room pleased me, I felt very comfortable and the bed was comfortable, and for the price it felt like a real gift. A small renovation or some cosmetic repairs would still benefit the hotel.

The spot near the city centre is good, but the whole hotel gave a very dirty impression. It felt like time had stopped in this place. The room furnishings were far from what the online photos showed, and the toilet condition was shocking. Breakfast was about 200 m away in a café. I cannot recommend this hotel.
The building sits centrally by the pedestrian zone, cable car, Baumwipfelpfad, and so on. Breakfast at Café Flora was very nice. The house was built in 1892, so the charm is obvious, but thick runners and rugs in the corridors and staircases. The rooms need renovation; the furnishings look like they’re from around 1970. The available hair dryer was broken, and after complaining, no fix was offered. According to the reception, the hair dryer isn’t intended to be there.
The location is great – you reach the city in no time.
