Everything matched the listing: the room was clean and comfortable, the location was convenient for walking to shops, and the staff were friendly. The only downside was the highway and train line noise, which is why the price was lower than other hotels.

“Nice room, but terrible location”

The king‑size bed, comfy armchairs, and coffee table were great, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The staff were friendly, but the location was terrible: trucks race past all night and a freight train runs by, creating constant noise. If you sleep like a log or are deaf, this might suit you. The bottom sheet on the bed was too small and bunched up, making it uncomfortable. Double or triple glazing would cut down the noise, and a weather strip around the door would stop the wind. Next time I’ll stay in Parkes.

“Cheapest motel in Forbes but not worth it if you want a good night sleep!”

Descent motel if you need a last‑minute spot. The location isn’t great, loud near the highway and train line. The motel is run down, although the bathroom had a refurbish.
