Yorokobinoyado Takamatsu, located in Kusatsu hot-spring area, offers simple Japanese-style rooms and various indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. The hotel features a relaxation lounge with massage chairs and a night-time bar, free Wi-Fi, and traditional multi-course meals. Guests can enjoy private hot-spring baths, massages, karaoke, and a souvenir shop, with easy access to Kusatsu International Ski Resort and JR Naganohara Kusatsuguchi Train Station.

Ce que les clients pensent de l'hôtel, aspect par aspect.
The price felt steep compared to the awful service and rooms; the foreign staff were unacceptable. The breakfast table was right by the entrance with a drink corner, so people kept moving around, making it chaotic. The shower in the room didn’t turn on hot water until early morning. I stayed the next day at Yamada Onsen, where the price was lower but the service was excellent. I will never stay at “Yorokobi no Yado Takamatsu” again!

The foreign staff were well trained and pleasant, and the onsen was flawless. On the downside, the room felt dated, the water pressure was poor, the meals didn’t match the photos and were just average, and the parking was far away.

The property is perfectly positioned just steps from Kusatsu’s center, which was a highlight of our trip. Service was great and the onsen access is a huge plus, even though the town already has many.

The meals were fantastic, but the room lacked any power outlets, which was inconvenient, and the bathroom tap was broken, making it impossible to use (hard to rinse contacts).
