Is this a museum or a bed‑and‑breakfast? Probably both. Fast Wi‑Fi and other amenities were installed by the hosts in this house from, if I’m not mistaken, 1866. Those contrasts are an experience in themselves, and the breakfast the next morning was also an experience.

We had a wonderful stay with the lovely Michèle. The spacious, pleasant room had a balcony, a guest‑only drink corner, and an especially elegant breakfast. All of this in a home of art and antique lovers, highly recommended for your visit to Gannock. Free parking on site and a ten‑minute walk to the canal.

The location was great, the breakfast exceptional, and the hostess, Michele, was perfect for the job. We really enjoyed the seated breakfast with assigned seats and the chance to chat with people from around the world. Michele was great to talk with.

I loved the older stately houses and the old‑fashioned Ontario Main Street with its two‑storey brick facades. An undiscovered gem of a community with an artsy, welcoming vibe. I wished I had stayed longer.
