The property was in a great location and beautifully presented; Marie & Craig were very welcoming hosts, offering afternoon coffee and tea plus a chocolate or two upon arrival, a gesture we really appreciated after our drive. Breakfast was a truly enjoyable meal, with either continental or full breakfast available. The only gripe was that we had to leave; we would have loved to stay for at least a few days.

The Cairn Residence is a wonderful accommodation that blends the past with the modern; Sandy and Marie are very lovely hosts, open‑minded and very helpful. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable.

Sandy and Marie greeted us with tea and cheese sandwiches, gave us many helpful tips for our stay in Edinburgh, and we felt immediately welcomed. The accommodation and breakfast were outstanding, and Marie even kindly drove us with our luggage to the tram station on the day of departure. It was a very nice stay and an unforgettable start to our Scottish tour.

Five‑star accommodation in a very elegant villa, tastefully furnished with fine furniture, plenty of space, a very comfortable bed in a quiet and restful environment; the neighborhood is elegant, the reception impeccable, guests are always reachable if needed, and there is a parking spot in the garden—a convenience often underestimated. The address is definitely recommended, in the traditional Anglo‑Saxon B&B spirit, that old‑style where the hosts are on site, exchange a few words, and you don’t live only on SMS and keyboxes.
