Centrally located across Wismar’s old harbour, the 3‑star‑superior Hotel New Orleans overlooks the Baltic bay. Spacious contemporary rooms feature satellite TV, desk, phone, private shower, and hairdryer. A Southern‑style restaurant serves deep‑south and Cajun dishes, followed by chilled cocktails at the bar. Walking distance to town centre, marketplace, 500 m from Main Station and State Museum of Technology.

The whole setup, from the café/restaurant area to the bedroom, was perfect and spacious enough for one or two people. The breakfast in the morning was abundantly provided with everything…

The location by the old harbor was great, and the old town was just a few minutes away. Parking is on the slanted public lot opposite, 4 €/24 h. The facilities are decent, making it a perfect spot for city sightseeing, and it’s wise to book restaurant tables early. The breakfast buffet wasn’t restocked, so the selection was slightly limited.

The location was perfect and central by the harbor, with the old town, restaurants and sights within walking distance. Everything was tidy and clean. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The on‑site restaurant served very good food. Parking costs 5 € for 24 h at the hotel. The only issue was that the room on the third floor was outside the Wi‑Fi range.
