Located near the Ojai Valley Trail, the Ojai Rancho Inn offers a sauna, outdoor pool, and garden. Guest rooms feature 42-inch flat-screen TVs, minibars, microwaves, and hairdryers. Cottages include fireplaces. Guests can relax in the jacuzzi or take a stroll through the garden. The hotel is 1.4 km from Soule Park Golf Course and within a 10-minute walk of the Ojai Valley Museum.

The layout, pool, and hammocks were all great, and the bar was cute with nice drinks; the free bikes and the walking path were also really nice. However, the thin walls let you hear every word from your neighbors, including their screaming children, and the whole room creaks constantly while road noise from the highway is audible; bring a sound machine because the hotel doesn’t provide one.

I had a nice, comfortable stay that was just right for our short visit to Ojai, though the cost seemed high.

The staff were great, the little bar was unique and unexpected, and Jack made a great bartender; the downside was that the bedside lights were inadequate.
