I stayed in a basic room with a decent bathroom and free parking. The staff barely spoke English, and the bathroom lacked proper ventilation so everything stayed damp. There was no restaurant, the breakfast selection was small and sparse, and the whole building looked run-down despite renovations. For the room rates I expected more.

The hotel sits quietly on the edge of a fjord with a perfect view. Its architecture and interior design go beyond good; classic. The rooms are stylish, clean, and comfortable. The staff are attentive, friendly, and polite. I booked on a whim during my trip to Norway, and it turned out to be the most beautiful and chic hotel of my entire journey.

The breakfast was quite bland. The sausage pieces were overcooked and unappetizing. The eggs were cooked green.

The only thing that was good was the location. The room left a dirty impression, the furnishings were sparse for the price, and the breakfast was a mediocre disaster. Several items weren't restocked. All hot dishes were cold or unavailable. I searched in vain for jam and the staff were unresponsive. For the price it was a big disappointment. All other hotels and accommodations I've stayed at on my long trip are much better.
