I stayed at the place exactly as advertised, a snug spot right near the town centre with secure, inexpensive parking just over the road – couldn’t ask for more. I’ve been here before and it’s still as good as ever, a comfortable little hideaway close to everything, and the price is still great. Thanks, Linden, and I’ll be back for sure. Nothing to complain about.

The view of the ocean from the promenade is fantastic, and the old Victorian building has huge windows that swing wide to bring in the sea breeze. Armina, the host, was very friendly and let me park my bicycle inside. The hotel really captures the feel of a bygone era. It sits right in the middle of the beach area, so pubs and restaurants are within easy reach, and the promenade is just across the street – a lovely walk. The stairs are steep, circular, and narrow, and because each floor has high ceilings it takes a while to reach the second and third levels. There’s no elevator, so if you’re frail or have trouble with stairs, ask for a room on the lobby level or at most the first floor.
